all these times i tryed it doesnt work and the memory card dont fit. and when ever i put the usb cable in it doesnt do anything. and whenever i go to computer it doesnt show the usb and it is connected! please help!How do i put music on my samsung rant?
it should have come with a cd that makes it register to the computer, but if you get a ship converter which is like a regular sd card with a slot for the mini you put it in the computer and open it as a folder and you can drag and drop songs onto it thats how i did it with my bf's phone and the way i do it with my instinct

A Rant of sorts: What are your thoughts on this sort of music?
This 'artist' called Candace Marie used to be a model but a record label realized she could sing so gave her a deal.
In just TWO days she went to a LA studio (with big-time producer John Shanks) and recorded eleven songs which made up her entire record in just TWO days.
She had zero creative input and saw the songs, literally, an hour before she recorded them and picked up a big pay cheque.
So what do you think of this cheap kind of music?
Would you buy it? Because somebody is.

I think it sux balls to be honest, but it doesnt surprise me record labels just wont take chances anymore they want to make big bucks and they arnt willing to gamble, for instance look at all the programs like pop idol americas idol wotever is going where you are from , these are testers to see will this music or person sell that simple, but it doesnt stop stupid ppl from watchin voting etc....
There are great musicians and artists out there that simply wont get a chance because of the sheep like behaviour of ppl and the fact they are letting the record labels and media tell them wot to wear buy eat sleep and $hit,ppl have stopped thinking for themselves and big business is taking an advantage of this.A Rant of sorts: What are your thoughts on this sort of music?
Nah, it's people like that, that have no real passion or creativity in 'their'; music that makes it suck.
Which is why I thank my mom for giving me a Monkees cd when I was younger.
True that i went on itunes and listened to it... pretty sure that was cool in like 2001 now it just sounds cheap!

mainstream used to be good at one point, even i won't deny listening to some mainstream artists. Back in the late 90's that is. After 2003 i stopped. The progression of talentless wannabees was at a crucial stage and the end was no where in sight. I could live with all those Rap artists that were doing something right. I wouldn't listen to them, but at least they were making good success in their field. I could deal with Sean Paul and his new language, hell i could even cope with that britney spears.
But 2007 came too fast. All of the sudden there came an annoying boy named soldier. And after that it was some 14 year old from Montanan, and then it was 3 guys in love. Disaster after disaster, what is it with media and thinking they can make a kid into something they're not?

just look at the video, you don't even have to listen to it to know its about nothing important or relevant. And I know that this type of music is targeted at younger kids, but really, 10 million fking views??? Its videos like these that seeks to exploit kids into the fake world of childhood. And then parents ask themselves why are our kids like this.
Its a cultural disaster and its becoming more severer than I had anticipated it to be. And i know that I'm not the only one who thinks so.

well if you didn't get a micro SD card with your phone here is how
find an MP3 file and email it to your phone (to find it go to your provider and look it up, i know for Verizon its yournumber@vzpix.com) that will send it as a pic message.
if you did get a micro SD card, just pop it into your computer, load all the songs you want onto it, and then pop it back into your phone!

Oh man transfering i-tunes music to Rant is so easy a 1 year old can do it!!! Here's how, ---%26gt; from your desk top click start in the lower left corner of your screen, click on MY MUSIC, click on i-tunes and it should open a folder containing all your i-tunes music. Find a track or song you want to put on your phone, right click on it and select copy.
Plug your samsung rant phone into your computer via the USB data cable. Once your phone is plugged into your computer, push that chrome colored square shaped menu OK button thats underneath the screen. Once you push that a menu comes up, select TOOLS and push menu OK, select mass storage and push menu OK, select connect to PC and push menu OK, a box should pop up on your computer screen, select open folder to view files, once you do that a box should open on your computer that shows whats on your phone memory card, right click on the music folder and select paste, doing this will paste your music track you previosly copied from your i-tunes music folder.
If a box doesnt show up automatically on your computer screen when you connect your phone to your PC you must click start in the lower left corner of your computer screen, select my computer and click on it, select the removable disc folder/icon labeled (F:).
Now that you have your track or song transfered to your phone I would like you to test it out before you do more! Here's how --%26gt; pick up your phone and push the right soft key under where is says disconnect on lower right corner of your phone screen, push the right soft key and now comunication between your phone and computer is disconnected. Push the hang-up button to get back to your main phone screen, press the menu OK button to access a menu that pops up, select entertainment and press menu OK, select music and press menu OK, once you do that your samsung rant music player should open up and there you go! you can play your music tracks threw your RANT speaker phone and you can even send your music to your background while you text and ****. ANy other wuestions let me know
